JICKY

In 1889, Aimé Guerlain, son of the founder of the GUERLAIN House, Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, produced his first masterpiece, Jicky. A perfume so complex and modern that it was immediately described as the "first modern perfume in history". It was the first composition to be specifically designated "perfume", and it was also the first unisex fragrance in the history of perfumery.

Why the name Jicky? Aimé Guerlain always preserved the romantic memory of a young woman whom he met during his student days in England whom he called Jicky. By mere coincidence, Jacques' diminutive was also Jicky.

Fresh, dynamic, surprising. Full of contrasts and dualities, freshness and oriental notes, Jicky is a magical perfume that plays with the olfactory ambiguity between the masculine and the feminine. The subtle spicy notes that bloom with the usual warmth of the oriental side also play cleverly with the fresh and aromatic notes of lemon and lavender in the heart. Beneath its bold structure, woody and vanilla notes can be detected to intensify the vibrant undertone and personality.
