In perfumery, leather notes can be included within the animal family of notes.
Leathery notes do not really refer to the smell of the animal leather, but to an association that is historically made by the materials that were traditionally used to cure the leather. The birch tar used in tanning the leather is the one that provides the characteristic smell to the leather and the one we associate with this note today.
Its aroma could be considered very intense and marked, however, perfumers discover us that it is a facet that can be used in a very versatile way to provide a subtle characteristic warmth or as a dominant note in very direct fragrances. Due to its way of evolving, it is one of the notes that it is most advisable to feel on the skin since in each person it displays a different character.
With this KIT we want to show you different styles of leather notes that complement the KIT 1 of leather notes:
- Cuir Nilam - Atelier Materi (Woody leather)
- Cuir Curcuma - Affinessence (floral leather)
- Le Lion - CHANEL Exclusifs (intense leather)
- Blanche Bête - Liquides Imaginaires (gourmand floral leather)
The KIT consists of 4 samples of 1.5ml, of the indicated fragrances.
The steps are:
